Borehamwood Physio is based at

Borehamwood Physio can be found upstairs, within the Manor View Practice.

Please enter the GP practice, you will find the stairs opposite reception and there is a sign to show you the location.

On arrival please take a seat in the waiting area.

The GP practice is separate from the clinic and they may not direct you to the correct location.

If you are unable to use stairs, please contact me. Depending on availability another room can be arranged for your sessions, however your appointment may need to be rearranged.


Please allow 60 minutes for your first assessment and 30 minutes for any follow-up sessions. Borehamwood Physio can be found upstairs, within the Manor View Practice, located in Borehamwood. Please enter the Theobald Medical Practice go up the stairs opposite reception. On arrival please take a seat in the waiting area. Please be aware that as the clinic rooms are based upstairs, if you are unable to access this, please state this when booking an appointment. Depending on availability another room can be arranged for your sessions.

At your initial physiotherapy assessment time will be allocated to discussing in depth your presenting complaint and any other relevant history. You will then undergo a physical examination with time left for treatment. Please be aware that in some circumstances time is allocated within your session to complete reports or write letters relating to your treatment.

At your follow-up appointment further assessment and treatment will be carried out.

In order to complete a through assessment you may be asked to remove articles of clothing. Shorts or trousers that can be rolled up are recommended for all leg and back complaints. Please bring a vest top with thin straps if you prefer for assessment of the back, neck and arm.


If you are under 16 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will be present at all times.


Any information related to your referral including insurance details, medical information and previous treatment notes. Clothing to change into if required. Please bring with trainers for any lower limb sporting injury or specific footwear if this relates to your referral.


Please be aware that during your physiotherapy appointment you will undergo a clinical assessment as described above. Treatment can include manual therapy such as joint mobilisation, massage, acupuncture, exercise and advice. Verbal consent will be taken during each session and noted for the use of acupuncture and manipulations. You have the right to refuse treatment at any time and ask the physiotherapist to stop, withdrawing your consent.


Cancellations: We require 24 hours notice for a cancellation, all efforts will be made to re book you as soon as possible.

Late cancellations: A payment of 50% of the appointment fee for under 24 hour notice and will be charged at the next appointment. If there are repeated late cancellations the fee must be paid before further appointments are made and may result in treatment being withdrawn from the clinic. Appointments cancelled 3 hours before the appointment will be treated as a failed attendance.

Failed attendance: A payment of 100% of the appointment fee will be charged and must be paid before further appointments are made. Repeat failures may result in treatment being withdrawn from the clinic.

Insurance claims: In accordance with your insurer policy you will either by liable for the cost or have a treatment session detected for late cancellations and failed attendance.


Self-funding Clients: Payment will be taken within the session using iZettle card reader. An invoice can be provided on request. Cash payments are also accepted. Bacs payments may also be accepted in specific circumstances.

Private Medical Insurance Claims: We can bill some insurers directly for your treatment. However, you remain responsible for the cost of your treatment and the charge will automatically revert to you if your insurer does not make payment in full within 60 days. Any excess must be paid in full when required, within 30 days.


If a letter is written for a GP, consultant or other third party in relation to your treatment for example for further investigation, onward referral or imaging, you will be responsible for arranging your appointment with them. Borehamwood Physio will ensure that the letter is written and sent. You will be bound by the terms and conditions of that third party and we undertake no liability with respect to the third party.


Borehamwood Physio takes no responsibility for any damage, loss or theft of personal belongings brought into the clinic on the clients behalf.
